On Wednesday, January 20, 2010, Baasha and Dodger departed together for sheep heaven.We knew Baasha’s time was near but Dodger went down very quickly and unexpectedly, so having him put down came as a shock. I miss them both dreadfully but Dodger couldn’t get up by himself any longer and Baasha was so painfully crippled by arthritis.

Oh Sue! Baasha and Dodger are with Charlotte and Tunia, though they are probably thinking the others are quite crazy, being sheep and goats. I'm pretty certain life in animal heaven is a million times better than life on Earth, but you did everything to make life here the best for them. Plus, they were famous! Their eyes tell me they were sweet, wise souls. ~Karen
ReplyDeleteI am sorry about your sheep. Everyone just says animals are just a possession but we know better. I had to have my precious Polly (an alpine nanny)put down just a few short weeks ago. She was 13 and i stayed in the barn a couple nights because I was sure that she wouldn't survive and I didn't want her to be alone, so I understand completely. I have been following you for a little while now and want to say thank you for your beautiful photos and your wonderful thoughts. I am in a huge transition in my life right now and it is just one day at a time and I enjoy all the inspiration that others have to share. I use my blog as somewhat of a gratitude journal and as my eye on the prize so to speak and I love women who inspire which in turn empowers others. Many do not realize the impact that they have and I just wanted to share your little impact on me. Thank You and keep sharing those beautiful pics.
